We design responsive environments and provide full interior -, exhibition- and furniture design services for private, public and corporate clients.
Ten years of experience in developing, testing and applying open modularity on various scales and within different fields, both for temporary and permanent use, enabled us to design new products, furniture, installations, infrastructure, presentation stands, interior and public spaces with an integrated DNA of re-use – or reconfigure existing ones. By teaming-up with specialists, researchers, writers, theorists, developers, architects, designers and engineers, we come up with integrated solutions serving specific audiences and demands.

We provide educational formulas and tools around open modularity for businesses, academic and cultural institutions. By hosting and moderating workshops and offering work-shop kits we encourage hands-on experiences adapted to different segments: from school children to families, from design and architecture students to established practioners. Allowing each to get acquainted to the OpenStructures design methodology in a playful way and eventually apply it within in their specific field: from assembling flexible toys to designing adaptable houses.

We consult and communicate about the developments of affiliated designers and researchers by publishing, lecturing and offering consulting for businesses and institutions.
We facilitate collaborative design processes by initiating, directing and facilitating collaborations between clients, audiences and designers. We link commissioners, brands and producers with designers from our network while guiding the different parties through the design process and evaluating results.
We publish an ever-evolving database by sourcing, verifying, documenting, synchronising, registering, exhibiting and publishing OS compatible designs. In doing so we aim at raising a general awareness about more integrated alternatives of building and at offering a digital archive in which
• consumers can track the history, evolution and future potential of their product,
• professionals receive support in the transition towards more sustainable ways of building
• designers can make use of the platform to promote their work
• producers and brands can increase value of their products by positioning them within a larger ecosystem of uses and re-uses.

We curate the manyfold narratives of open modularity. By carefully selecting and periodically highlighting the exceptional we hope to reveal the perfectly odd connections that can trigger a more holistic perspective on our material world.
