Het Nieuwe Instituut Rotterdam commissioned OS_Studio for the design of shop displays of the New Store. New Store suggests a shop where consuming helps, rather than harms the environment. It rethinks the concept of ‘products’ and explores alternative and non-extractive forms of production and exchange. It was presented as a first edition during Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. The signage boards, lightboxes and cupboards will be re-used and reconfigured during a second edition at the Design Week in Milan the year after. By the end of 2024 New Store will find a permanent place at Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam.
